“Ever notice that how you treat people in your life today is the single, biggest factor in determining how people in your life tomorrow, even totally different people, will treat you?
It always works,
The Universe”©Mike Dooley, http://tut.com
This is the Universal law of respect. If you want to be well treated, make sure to return the favor to others as well. Pay it forward as much as possible. Never do anything expecting something to come back to you. Do it with pride with the deliberate intent to help others. I agree that we get back what we give but in most cases, life has a way to test you and see if you behavior depends on others action. If someone is mean towards you, the immediate response would be to be mean to them or others, even if others had NOTHING to do with it. Without even realizing it, we do it almost everyday. Let’s say you had a terrible day at work and your boss treats you like garbage, chances are you will return home and treat your spouse and/or children the same way. This is human nature and we all have acted this way unintentionally. However, you need to assume responsibilities for your actions, despite on how others treated you in different instances. We work hard to make ourselves a better life but all this can be done in the respectful way.
So much injustice out there when it come to our legal system where violent crimes are left without proper judgment and the victim’s family have no choice to accept the verdict ( in some instances, they apply their own judgement towards the culprit). Whatever the case is, it may be hard to respect anything or anyone when no one tends to return the favor. Why put in the effort right? Why even try to be good to others when you end up getting screwed at the end. You just need to remember that not all circumstances will render similar prior unjustified results and when you do your best to make changes within yourself to be a better person, you will start seeing changes around you. Do not give up on society but you need to also be smart. Protect yourself, do not be gullible, and spend time with people who wants to do go in return. Karma always work in your advantage, and it does happen where bad people never get punished but that is something that you can’t really do anything about it, unless violence is your last recourse. If that is the case, what result would you expect out of violence? You know the answer to that one.
