“Next time you overhear someone say they’re only human, be compassionate.
But remind them it’s only temporary. That before long they’ll be able to see their wings again, speak in tongues, and blaze trails through eternity upon chariots of fire.
Much more dignified than just smacking them on the bum.
The Universe”©Mike Dooley, http://tut.com
It is human nature to respond to others, when task is not completed, with: “Hey, I am just human”. Yes, the task given to that person could have been difficult, challenging, even probably impossible to complete in due time, but with the proper attitude, anything in life can be done. It is not about tricking that person or making them feel awkward through the process, it is about given them ways to figure out the best and most effective way to get the job done. It is not because you didn’t do it by the deadline that the project is doomed, but it is imperative that you keep on moving forward and not let any setback stop you from completing your job. Leaders know how to properly motivate their team and not making them feel guilty about certain challenges they faced through the process. Everything given to you, all through your career, is just a test. It is funny how most of us thought that testing just happens in a school environment. We get tested throughout our lives, including our intimate relationships.
So, just because you feel you need to start the task over or just continue where you left off, you can rest assured that you will learn new lessons as to where you went wrong and what to do now to better yourself. If you stop learning, you will stop growing. Knowledge is power, and it is crucial to always embrace the many opportunities you will have in life when learning is present. Never forgo that opportunity or you will end up regretting it. You will certainly be given options to choose when it comes to different path available to you as you navigate through the ocean of life, but it is really up to you to hold the sail correctly and follow the compass and arrive safely at your destination. Most importantly, never forget your anti-nausea pills as you will often face that PERFECT STORM!
